Hey all! Been lurking around for a while and figured i ought to say hello , formal introductions and all that. Located in bangkok in pratunam. Been Brewing a few years now and recently expanded my brewing capacity. Now running a 1bbl to 1.5 bbl setup out of the spare bedroom in my condo ha ha. Seems like a great crowd here on the board , hope to get to know everyone a little better!

Welcome bailorgana,

That's a hell of a setup for a bedroom. I hope to get mine upto about 50 to 75 l batches.

At the moment I'm doing 5 gallon batches.

Well it won't be in the bedroom in a few more months once the lease is up ha . I still pilot with five gallons, in fact we just made a cascade single hop APA yesterday at 5 gallons.

Hi theres!
100 litres is a hefty vessel.
You have it in a fridge?
If so, how the fuck do you get in in the fridge? :P
or you have a few smaller fermenters?

Well when I do a big batch (200liters-100 liters ) I use a March pump for transfers , also no I don't have a fridge , my fermenters are all temp controlled with submerged stainless glycol coils that are linked to a pump, temp controller , and chiller unit. I keep temps within a quarter degree and it's super cheap to run .

I do need to eventually get a bigger fridge for keg cooling, my kegerator only fits three and I have 7 so it's already a problem ha .

Where did you get these fermenters that you're using? How big are they and approx cost? I'd love to have something like this. I'm currently doing 20L batches but would like to scale up if I could get the equipment. 50L would be a nice size. 200L is probably beyond my space capacity.

I actually had them made here funily enough. I had to source my own chilling equipment but I had the tanks manufactured by pakco here in Thailand. I think they were only about 3800 baht a pop . they are hdpe food grade and I have butterfly valves atatched to them. The only bummer is 200 liters is the smallest they make ha .

my stainless fermenters were imported though and those get spendy

I built it. I made a 50ft stainless coil and ran it through the top or the fermenter lid via gaskets. That coil is the hooked up to glycol that is pumped from a cooling unit through the coil and back . temperature controller is your standard temp controller.
